The law firm of Beemer, Hadler & Willett was originally formed in 1977 by Charles G. Beemer, who retired from the firm in June 1996. The firm has its roots in providing residential real estate services to the Chapel Hill/Durham community, including Orange, Durham and Chatham Counties. Since then, the firm has enlarged its service area to include Wake County and Alamance County. It serves all counties in the state of North Carolina when involved in commercial transactions.

The firm was originally designed as a real estate practice with an emphasis in other areas of general practice law. More than 30 years later the firm continues to function in a similar manner, but has narrowed its practice focus. Currently, Wayne R. Hadler and Christopher M. Willett are the firm attorneys handling all types of residential and commercial transactions, including all forms of purchases, leases and related real estate contractual matters. The firm often provides real property title searches and opinions to local municipalities, and has historically represented developers and builders, handling the spectrum of services necessary for subdivision creation, condominium creation, or development of commercial shopping centers. Mr. Hadler has historically been involved in the development approval process with regulatory officials in Chapel Hill and Carrboro.

Mr. Willett joined the firm in 2008. He is also one of the few attorneys in the area to work with educational law matters and he previously taught education law as an adjunct at the University of North Carolina School of Law. He often represents parents in the advocacy of 504/IEP plans for their children and has a wealth of experience negotiating school-related problems faced by parents, teachers, administrators, school boards, and students.

The firm prides itself in providing quality services to their clients. The firm staff is one of the finest assembled to handle residential real estate transactions, including purchase and refinance transactions. The staff is highly skilled at handling a significant number of closings during the course of the week. The firm’s title workers include Amanda Huegerich, a licensed attorney and Scott Barrow-West, a highly qualified, certified real estate paralegal. Pam Link-Betts, who has been with the firm since 2001, is organized, detail-oriented and processes all purchase and loan transactions with skill and efficiency. Collectively our attorneys and staff have fluency in Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Albanian, and intermediate French.
